Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated English Language and Literacy Specialist to join our team of educators at SPARK Blue Downs High. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a critical role in driving student achievement and academic growth in English language and literature.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in English language and literature to students in grades 11-12.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a rigorous and engaging curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
  • Assess student progress and provide targeted support to ensure that students meet their academic goals.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and stay up-to-date with best practices in education.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture that values diversity, equity, and excellence.
Requirements
  • English language fluency.
  • Completed B.Ed or PGCE degree in English FET or English Home Language FET.
  • 2-3 years' high school teaching experience, preferably in grades 11-12.
  • SACE registration.
  • Clear/Clean criminal record.
