Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Phase Life Orientation Educator to join our team at SPARK Randburg High School. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in Exercise Science and Sociology, as well as developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Exercise Science and Sociology, ensuring that students meet the required proficiency ratings.
  • Develop and implement individualized behavior and learning plans for students, working closely with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development sessions to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with curriculum developments.
  • Assess student progress and analyze data to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions.
  • Lead scholar social and emotional development through CQ sessions and reflections, promoting character development and academic achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives that support student growth and well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and stakeholders to ensure a positive and supportive school community.
Requirements
  • English language fluency
  • Completed or PGCE degree in Psychology/Life Orientation - Senior/FET
  • 3-5 years of experience teaching FET Phase scholars
  • SACE registration
  • Clear/Clean criminal record
