Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced English Language and Literacy Specialist to join our team at SPARK Blue Downs High. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English language and literature to students in the FET phase, and for developing and implementing engaging and effective lesson plans that meet the needs of all learners.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English language and literature, and will be able to demonstrate a passion for teaching and learning. They will be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and other stakeholders to achieve our school's goals and objectives, and will be committed to providing high-quality education to all students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach English language and literature to students in the FET phase
  • Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans that meet the needs of all learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other stakeholders to achieve our school's goals and objectives
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • English language fluency
  • Completed B.Ed or PGCE degree in English FET or English Home Language FET
  • 2-3 years' high school teaching experience (1-2 years' experience teaching Grd 11-12 preferred)
  • SACE registration
  • Clear/Clean criminal record
