Area Sales Manager Job Description

The Area Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in driving sales and revenue growth within a specific geographic area. This position involves strategic planning, customer relationship management, and a focus on achieving sales targets and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Strategy Development: Promote and market divisional products and services effectively and efficiently.
  • Sales Planning and Budgeting: Create comprehensive sales plans and budgets, taking into account market trends and company objectives.
  • Sales Data Analysis: Monitor and analyze sales data to make informed decisions and adjustments to the sales plan.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Address customer concerns and inquiries promptly, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • New Business Opportunities: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the area.
  • Sales Target Achievement: Ensure achievement of sales targets inline with budget requirements.
  • Administrative Efficiency: Maintain effective and efficient administrative systems for equipment sales.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12
  • Degree in Business Management, Sales and Marketing or relevant field
  • 3 - 5 years Material Handling Experience
  • IMPERATIVE: Must have Forklift experience - selling of the products
