Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Underwriting Assistant to join our Underwriting team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or those with up to 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance. You will assist the Underwriting team by preparing deals for underwriting and conducting preliminary reviews, including researching companies and reviewing credit reports.

This role is crucial in supporting the Underwriting team, with opportunities to grow into a full Underwriting role. We are looking for individuals who are proactive, have excellent research and analytical skills, and can work well within a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the underwriting team in preparing deals for underwriting
  • Conduct preliminary reviews of potential clients, including company research and reviewing credit reports
  • Support the UW team in maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth deal progression
  • Stay informed on industry trends and financial developments

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2-3 years of experience or recent graduate with internship experience
  • Strong academic background
  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing financial data
