Insurance Business Development Specialist

At The Personnel Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Broker Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our sales and marketing team, you will be responsible for attracting, engaging, and retaining profitable new business from brokers within our target market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement marketing plans to outperform competitors and promote our client's brand to brokers.
- Maintain and grow business relationships with existing brokers, identifying their needs and providing necessary support.
- Conduct training sessions and presentations on our products and services, ensuring brokers have the necessary knowledge to effectively sell our offerings.
- Prepare quotations, check new business applications, and arrange premium payment facilities, ensuring seamless business quality.
- Manage administrative tasks, such as broker contract applications and after-sales service, providing expert advice to clients and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF 4 qualification.
- FSB-recognized qualification with at least 120 FAIS credits to act as a compliant supervisor.
- FAIS Representative Regulatory Exam (RE5) passed.
- Completed Class of Business training.
- At least one year of experience as a Broker Consultant.
- Proficient product knowledge and awareness of competitor intelligence.
- Proficient in English, with knowledge of additional African languages preferred.
- Valid driver's license and own transport.

- Retail Sales Skills: Demonstrate effective sales skills, especially in a retail context.
- Risk Awareness: Display keen awareness of risks associated with insurance products.
- Cross Selling: Identify and execute cross-selling opportunities effectively.
