About the Role:

Pargo is a leading smart logistics company based in Cape Town, aiming to make last-mile distribution more accessible, affordable, and convenient. We are seeking an experienced Logistics Business Growth Strategist to drive client acquisition and onboarding efforts, ensuring our ambitious growth targets are met.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the industry and market trends, with experience in sales and business development. They will be responsible for identifying and prioritizing suitable prospects, maintaining a strong pipeline, and overseeing the entire acquisition process.

This role requires a dynamic and strategic thinker who can work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be able to build authentic relationships with clients, negotiate favorable terms, and identify future upsell opportunities.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Understand last-mile logistics to identify and prioritize potential clients across industries.
  • Generate qualified leads through outbound techniques such as emails and phone calls.
  • Create and manage a robust sales pipeline with a long-term view to achieve sales targets and drive customer success.
  • Utilize CRM tools to record activity, follow up on conversations, and advance client interactions.
  • Develop and execute strategies to acquire new clients.
  • Establish strong relationships with potential clients, negotiate favorable terms, and identify future upsell opportunities.
  • Lead and drive the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring their seamless transition and maximizing our share gain.
  • Cultivate key client relationships that drive revenue, strengthen the brand, and execute targets to support company-wide growth ambitions.
  • Take ownership of relevant metrics to drive performance improvement.

Requirements:

  • You enjoy working in a fast-paced agile environment, working independently, and are a self-starter.
  • You are laser-focused on customer experience and have a consultative and relational sales approach.
  • You are dynamic and can cope with changes to our product and solution set.
  • Experience in sales and business development, with a proven track record in enterprise sales.
  • Excellent communication, selling, and closing skills.
  • Ability to take on feedback and coaching.
  • Strong analytical and administrative skills, including experience in CRM tools and data analysis.
