Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Capability Lead to join our team at Lesaka Technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Management: Oversee the smooth operation, reliability, performance, and security of insurance systems.
  • Business Alignment: Facilitate communication and collaboration between IT and business units, ensuring effective translation of business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Process Optimization: Design, implement, and enhance process flows to automate operations and improve efficiency.
  • Industry Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of insurance standards and regulations, ensuring compliance and staying updated on emerging trends.
  • Policy Management: Oversee policy data processing, implementing effective workflows.
  • Data Stewardship: Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security by developing data governance policies and monitoring data quality.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Facilitate communication and collaboration across departments, providing training and support.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage insurance system projects, developing project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Competencies
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in insurance system platforms, IT infrastructure, databases, software development, automation tools, and scripting languages.
  • Business Analysis: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, translating business needs into effective technical solutions.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the insurance industry, including policy management and regulatory requirements.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational abilities, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Special Requirements
  • Change Management: Proven ability to lead change initiatives and guide teams through transitions.
  • Vendor Management: Experience in managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring SLA compliance.
  • Risk Management: Proficient in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with insurance systems and IT projects.
  • Advanced Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights using data analytics tools.
  • Regulatory Compliance: In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements specific to the insurance industry.
Qualifications

BCom/BSc/NDip in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven experience in a similar role within the insurance or financial services industry. Expertise in insurance systems, data management, and regulatory compliance.

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
