L3Harris Technologies is a leading provider of innovative defence solutions. As a Defence Maintenance Expert, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of our CF-18 aircraft maintenance operations.

About Your Role:

As an Air Weapons Systems Professional, you will be responsible for teaching specialized entry-level maintenance courses to students and participating in practical and theoretical training of all maintenance tasks.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and deliver operating principles in class and participate in hands-on training.
  2. Attend training and information sessions as required.
  3. Maintain compliance with all regulations applicable to tooling control.
  4. Consult reference documentation and provide assistance in updating relevant training material.
  5. Complete inspection sheets, forms, sets, logs, and other aircraft documentation appropriately and as required.
  6. Ensure adherence to safe work practices.
  7. Perform tasks assigned by Lead Instructor, Team Leader, and Supervisor.

Key areas of focus include Health and Safety, Flight Safety, Documentation and Record-Keeping, Work Instructions, Process Specifications, and providing training and mentoring in Aircraft Maintenance Support Equipment (AMSE), Suspension and Release Equipment, Weapon Systems, and Guns.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. College or high school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel) and Windows environment.
  3. Knowledge of SAP.
  4. Five years' experience in CF-18 maintenance.
  5. Adaptability, interpersonal skills, excellent customer service skills.
  6. Experience in quality control or relevant experience (an asset).
  7. Bilingualism required (French and English) - good verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  8. Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work.
Eligibility Criteria:
  1. Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program.
  2. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2 / NATO Secret security clearance.
  3. Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
