An established international engineering company based in Johannesburg requires the above.
**Minimum requirements for the role**:

- A Diploma/Certificate in relevant field is essential.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar field.
- Experience within the Mining/Engineering Industry is preferred.
- Good knowledge of Incoterms (2010).
- Have excellent communication and organisation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Be self-motivated, assertive and adaptable.
- Good Time and Stress Management Skills.
- Skilled in Business Principles, Practices and Procedures.
- Must have own transport.
- Obtaining cost estimates required for shipping and road transport in accordance with relevant Incoterms (2010).
- Facilitating the movement/logistics-flow of products from one destination to another (local, imports and exports).
- Coordinating and managing road transportation of spare parts and/or equipment to effectively meet customer demands.
- Planning and coordinating deliveries in accordance with customer requirements and stipulated deadlines.
- Preparing all logistics related documentation for both local and overseas shipments.
- Taking the necessary steps to minimise logístical risks to the company business.
- Continually reviewing and monitoring freight costs and transportation rates to ensure competitiveness.
- Identifying opportunities to improve, both from a cost and efficiency perspective, and seek ways to streamline the shipping and transportation process where possible.
- Updating and maintaining a shipping register with relevant details of all shipments.
- Filing and safe keeping of documentation, both electronically and hard copies.
- Liaising with shipping agents and transportation service providers.
- Capturing of costs and surcharges and liaising with Warehouse to ensure timely processing of goods receipting and submitting all relevant documentation to Finance Department for payment.
- Coordinating and managing Project related logistics, as may be required.
- Requesting pricing and placing of orders for office and warehouse consumables, refreshments, and services as may be required.
- Following up and expediting ordered goods from Suppliers to ensure on time delivery.
- Compiling and distributing Weekly Procurement Department Meeting Minutes.
- Maintaining and updating Supplier files and records.
- Assisting Procurement office with general administrative tasks as may be required.
- Assisting Procurement Technicians with filing of material certificates and data books in accordance with Procurement Procedures.
- Providing the necessary support in terms of maintaining the relevant ISO standards within the department.

**Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.**
