**Job Duties/Responsibilities will include**:
Makes recommendations regarding investment attractiveness of private equity deals

Analyses unlisted companies positions within its industry, sales and profit estimates, projected rates of return on capital, total equity, asset utilisation and leverage

Projects short and long-term values of stock compared with historical evaluations relative to a market index

Makes recommendations for the selection of investment decisions to the Investment Committees

The nature of the role is more specialised knowledge work rather than knowledge integration

Communication focuses on transferring of relatively complex information

Analyses Credit risk of listed or unlisted Fixed Income instruments

Makes recommendation for the approval of credit limits to the Credit Committee

Provide credit support to Credit analyst. Develops, implements and monitors accounting processes, financial policies, systems and procedures and reporting standards to ensure accurate and up-to-date information, thus providing the required financial information for management and decision-making purposes

Analysis of financial accounting results to ensure validity, accuracy and completeness of financial information and advises on corrective action to be taken

Responsible for audit liaisons as tax, legislative and statutory requirements

Timeous and accurate reporting to management, shareholders, the board of directors and the lenders.

Responsible for cash management and any capital requirements from time to time

Ensures tax and other regulatory and statutory requirements adhered to.

Manage relationship with other financial institutions and Liaison with external organisations, including auditors and other relevant professional bodies

Accountable for governance and compliance at an operational level

Provision of interpretation of financial data and predictive results

Establishes and maintains an effective finance and administration team, ensuring the availability of sufficient highly skilled and motivated resources to meet the project requirements

Coordinates the various administration and reporting requirements for Management and Statutory Reporting.

Participation in annual Budget and Quarterly Forecast setting process.

General ledger control

Application of applicable regulatory and other reporting standards to financial information (IFRS, FSB)

CA / Business degree with approximately 5 years commercial experience

Strong financial expertise and experience

Ability to implement and maintain tight internal controls for the financial function

Strong analytical abilities

Understands business principles and practice and makes sound commercial and strategic decisions after consideration of the competitive environment, even under conditions of uncertainty

Strong leadership and performance management skills

Good negotiation skills

Appropriate IT skills

The ability to create a highly motivated, skilled and effective team

Challenges the ‘status quo’ and drives for and implements effective change.

Understands and manages the organizational implications of events and the power and influence relationships within the organization.

Considers and takes account of the likely effects on others of one’s actions, words, appearance and mode of behaviour.

Good inter-personal skills, and the ability to relate across functions
