**Senior Accounts Controller**
- Location: Midrand_

Company Overview:
Our esteemed client in Midrand, focusing on specialized management of information and knowledge in medical and legal activities, is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Controller to drive efficiency and accuracy within their financial department.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Invoicing Oversight:

- Ensure all invoices are correctly issued by the Junior Accounts Controller.
- Train all debtors on invoicing procedures and act as backup during capacity shortages.
- Gain proficiency with Sage X3, our new invoicing software, and contribute towards resolving any operational issues.

2. Data Migration:

- Lead the financial data migration from Excel to Sage X3.
- Audit original statements, ensuring the capturing and editing of data for accuracy.
- Ensure correct data transfer and updating of Sage X3 statements.

3. Settlement Requests:

- Address settlement requests promptly.
- Extract, reconcile, and cross-reference statements from Excel/Sage X3 and Sharepoint.
- Obtain, inspect, and ensure invoices are correct.

4. Monthly Statements:

- Update and dispatch monthly statements to attorneys.
- Cross-reference statements and ensure data accuracy.
- Execute thorough excel checks.

5. Payment Allocations:

- Monitor collections for payments and allocate them accordingly.
- Mark off payments on excel and match on Sage X3.

6. Attorney Communications:

- Engage in regular communication with attorneys to address financial queries and bolster relations.
- Oversee communications on behalf of both Junior and Senior accounts controllers.

7. Attorney Visitations:

- Conduct regular visits to attorney offices to gather evidence, review cases, and foster better relations.
- Oversee visitations required by both Junior and Senior accounts controllers.

8. Reporting:

- Diligently complete the Daily Progress Sheet, showcasing your progress and team contribution.
- Utilize this report as a tool to monitor individual and departmental growth.

9. Qualitative Factors:

- Exhibit resilience, maturity, emotional stability, and attention to detail.
- Be a team player, able to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills, compassion, and dedication to the role.

10. Attorney Profiles:

- Manage a portfolio of 67 attorneys
- Navigate and maintain relations with a diverse mix of attorneys.

Qualifications and Experience:
Financial qualification (required)
- Proven experience in invoicing and statement management.
- Familiarity with Sage X3 is an advantage.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
