As the Head of Strategy and Business Integration: RML will be responsible for continuously assisting with the refinement of the strategy, supporting and advising managers in operationalising strategic initiatives of the COID and Operations division through the seamless integration of all functions to ensure the successful contribution of each function in meeting the COID and Operations strategy and RMA’s overall strategy in a coordinated manner. Furthermore, they will be required to oversee the planning, cross-functional integration, implementation and tracking of specific medium-long term projects, BSC, including the Group-wide projects, with specific deliverables as identified by the COID and Operation Exco. The incumbent will be responsible for providing high level support to the COO in the execution of his/her responsibilities by ensuring operational efficiencies.

**WHAT WILL YOU DO?**

**Effective Strategy Alignment**
- Collaborate with the COO, Executive: Corporate Services, and Senior Leadership to develop an integrated COID and Operations Strategy considering the impact of the strategic objectives on RMA and its associated businesses (i.e. RML, AIT etc.).
- Identify ways to effectively synergise all COID and Operations functions to ensure successful contribution of each function in meeting the COID and Operations strategy and RMA’s overall strategy.
- Collaborate with the Executive: Corporate Services and COO to develop the COID and Operations strategic plan/framework and the detailed current year operating plan for each support function.
- Effectively translate and cascade the COID and Operations Strategy to all functions within the broader COID and Operations function.
- Monitor the execution of the COID strategy.
- Facilitate the execution of the strategy by working collaboratively with the COO, Executive: Corporate Services and senior leadership to communicate the strategy ensuring that it is clearly and easily understood by all internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on the status of Balanced Scorecard objectives.

**Effective Stakeholder Management**
- Engage with internal (senior managers, divisional heads etc.) and external (CF, partners etc.) stakeholders to investigate and identify operational needs and areas of improvement in line with the COID and Operations strategy.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to identify, assess, and document business requirements.

**Ensure Operational Efficiencies**
- Effectively collaborate with respective business units to implement customer centric business processes and technology solutions.
- Document and implement operational needs to solve business challenges and help drive customer success and operational efficiencies.
- Carry out relevant assessments to determine if solutions to business requirements currently exist within or outside the business unit, and if not, whether new solutions are feasible for implementation.
- Analyse the impact of proposed solutions across the business, develop business cases to explain/demonstrate business requirements/specifications.
- Assess, monitor and report on overall operational delivery and performance of the COID and Operations function.
- Represent the COO at key stakeholder meetings as and when required.

**Effective Project Oversight**
- Act as the project sponsor/owner for various RML projects.
- Ensure that the Project Management Office, determines the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project.
- Ensure that the Project Management Office creates a detailed schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities and takes into account the long-term impact of decisions and possible risks.
- Execute the project according to the project plan and manage project deliverables making decisions and solving problems within the scope of the project.
- Address project and non-project related decisions and problems as the project sponsor.
- Ensure that the project deliverables are met on time, within budget and at the required level of quality.
- In collaboration with the Project Management Office, ensure that proper risk processes are in place and that project risk is continuously monitored.

**Office Management and Executive Support**
- Prepare all relevant documentation and information for the COO for various executive meetings.
- Maintain knowledge on all COID related policies and procedures.
- Prepare all meeting agendas, expense reports and coordinate with various teams to prepare an efficient calendar for all activities.
- Assist the COO with efficiently managing the operating budget of the COID and Operations function, keep track of all invoices and support budget reporting.
