Argon Steel, a leading steel supply and hardware store, is seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a crucial member of our HR department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our human resources functions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in Recruitment Processes: Collaborate with HR team members to coordinate job postings, screen resumes, schedule interviews, and facilitate the hiring process.
2. Employee Onboarding and Offboarding: Support the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation sessions and necessary paperwork. Coordinate offboarding procedures for departing employees.
3. Maintain Employee Records: Ensure accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, attendance, leaves, and performance evaluations.
4. Payroll Management: Utilize Sage Payroll Professional to process payroll accurately and in a timely manner. Address any payroll-related queries or concerns from employees.
5. Time and Attendance Management: Proficiently manage the Simplex time recorders or similar Access control management systems to track employee attendance, leaves, and hours worked.
7. HR Documentation and Compliance: Maintain compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations. Prepare HR documents such as employment contracts, policies, and procedures.
8. Support HR Projects: Contribute to various HR initiatives and projects as assigned by the HR Manager or Director.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar HR role.
- Proficiency in Sage Payroll Professional is essential.
- Experience with Simplex time recorders or similar Access control management systems preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Familiarity with HR best practices and employment laws.
