**Purpose and Responsibilities**

**Purpose of the job**
- Maintain and enforce standards as contained in ISO 9001 (and amendments there to) and the company Pumps Quality Systems Manual (and its amendments) and all relevant regulations as might be published from time to time.
- Maintain Quality files.
- To maintain a quality management system that adds value to the business operation and demonstrates compliance with required regulations and standards (ISO 9001).
- To ensure that all Company Policy is set out in the Quality Manual and is applied in all activities from receipt to final installation
- To implement processes which ensure that compliance to require procedures and standards can be demonstrated
- To co-ordinate the Company Supplier Evaluation, Approval and Performance Monitoring system with Purchasing and Operations
- To ensure that the Quality Assurance Systems meet the standards laid down by Customers
- To Establish an effective Non-Conformance Recording and NCR resolution system
- To liaise with Clients, Suppliers, design, Engineering and Production in defining and maintaining acceptable Quality Standards
- To arbitration in the event of disagreements over whether standards are being met
- To support Operations in the development, validation, and control of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- To work within the Global Quality Standards Framework and promote standardization within the Pump Division
- To provide support and assistance to improvement teams and ensure any changes made are reflected in the appropriate Quality Systems and Procedures
- To take an active and lead role in championing best practice and process improvement both on the sites.
- Quality audits for the respective sites.
- Implement and communicate all client requirements and applicable standards.
- Attend Quality and Quality related meetings as required by the client.
- Control welding and QA at sub-suppliers to the Eskom Stations.
- Communicate all findings and NCR/CAR’S to all sites to prevent recurrence**Inherent Requirements**

**Qualifications/Experience and Knowledge Required**
- Matric
- Technical and Pump Knowledge
- 5 Years Practical
- National Diploma (Technical or Quality)
- S.A.I.W Certification Level 1
