What will you do?

Santam Group Finance has a Business Enablement Manager role available. The role reports to the Head: Group Finance & Data Transformation and will be based at Santam Head Office in Bellville, Cape Town.

The Business Enablement Manager is responsible for the development of the enabling capabilities required by Santam Finance to transition to its future target operating model and achieve its strategic vision, specifically the management of data and provision of analytics and insight, management of change in the financial organisation, continuous improvement of operations and enforcement of relevant governance and policies. What will make you successful in this role?

**Data Management and governance**: Oversee the development of the Group Finance Data Operating Model and embed data management capabilities into the various Group Finance teams. Ensure appropriate data governance applied to financial data aligned to Santam’s policies and standards.

**Data analytics and insights**: Oversee the development of the analytics and insights capability of Santam Finance and manage the deployment of relevant tools and training. Drive analytics/ insights initiatives to ensure effective delivery of appropriate models/ reporting, along with required people and process changes.

**Business Enablement**: Ensure that appropriate performance measurements for Santam Finance are defined and reported on and monitor delivery of benefits from Finance value streams. Oversee refinement of the Finance target operating model aligned to the Finance vision and strategy, and drive maturity of the Finance services catalogue. Oversee delivery and impact of change initiatives (including the impact of corporate finance actions, changes in business unit/ subsidiary processes or systems and Group Finance value streams) in conjunction with project resources and relevant IT teams. Taking the lead on transition management; ensuring that "Business as Usual" is maintained during the transition and changes are effectively integrated into the business.

**Continuous improvement**: Ensure LEAN principles are applied by Finance teams through the necessary processes, tools and systems. Ensure consistent delivery of optimisation and standardisation initiatives across Group Finance and effective use of Greenbelt team members across Finance.

**Risk Management**: Oversee the first-line risk management activities of Group Finance, aligned to Enterprise Risk Management requirements.

Collaboration with the leadership team of Group Finance, the broader finance community in the group as well as the relevant teams in the IT and HR organisations, will be critical for successful delivery in the role. Qualification and Experience

Relevant Bachelor’s degree (Commerce, Business Science, Engineering); MBA will be advantageous
At least 6 years management experience
Demonstrated ability to implement complex change initiatives and/or establishment of business capabilities
5 years of experience in an analytical or reporting role, working with data and translating this into information for decision making purposes; sound knowledge of analytical methods and tools; ability to development meaningful reports from several sources
Sound experience in complex stakeholder management under high-pressure circumstances
Sound understanding of financial principles and concepts
Sound understanding of business strategy implementation
Experience in financial services industry would be advantageous
