Drive market wallet share and growth in data generation type of clients and new logo growth and adoption to the organizations Colocation data centers, while working closely with sales, marketing, operations and services to ensure your portfolio is well understood and serviced.
The role requires the person to evaluate business opportunities to define and optimize the product portfolio through analysis and understanding of targeted markets, market trends, new technology, customer business issues and the competitive environment. Applies broad knowledge of company product capabilities and service offerings with in-depth analysis of market position to create and expand the portfolio of products and solution alternatives. Works closely with product development to create products and validates early product definitions with customers. Uses technical expertise and extensive industry experience to formulate product strategies and identify new product opportunities. Responsible for developing project plans designed to address customer needs and/or expand market share.

**About this role**:
The role of a Senior Product Manager (within the Service/Product Offer Management Job Framework) is responsible for managing the lifecycle of a product or service within the organization. The practice is known as the product house or portfolio and Colocation Data Centers will be YOUR PORTFOLIO to run, manage, drive market relevance, innovation and enhancing client value year on year.
The role and job profile requires expert-level knowledge of Colocation Data Centers products or services and have accountability of the end-to-end experience internally and externally of the product. They have a strong understanding of the organization, thereby ensuring that their crafted products, features, solution(s) and service capabilities meet client requirements.
This role is responsible for effectively promoting and positioning of the organizations product and / or services in the market via the enablement of sales, marketing and executive support across the organization. Identify new commercially viable products or services or features, for the enhancement of existing products or services. The expectation is to remain in touch with the market and competitors to ensure the organizations Data centers can keep attracting major Hyperscale, SaaS providers, Enterprise clients, Wholesale clients, Reseller clients, SME clients and drive our strengths and overcome our market competitors.
Growth is our oxygen You will be the supplier of the Colocation Data Centers oxygen to sales, marketing and the market. LAND hyperscalers, cloud onramps, SaaS platforms and exploit our massive client base already in our Colocation Data Centers and partners.

**Key Role and Responsibilities**:
Engage with and offer support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure the product growth success
Analyse product data to establish trends and insights using internal and external sources
Facilitate the conversion of knowledge and ideas into new or improved products, processes and services
Research and interpret competitor offerings and market trends against the organizations client base with a strong data analysis focus
Review of product/portfolio profitability
Determines the appropriateness of pricing of existing and new investments strategies in line with projected value, competitor offerings and market trends
Engage with sales, marketing, solution architects, operations, service delivery, finance and legal/contractual departments to ensure the end-to-end ownership and accountability of the product adoption.
Achieve set and agreed product sales to meet specified financial goals
Develop and deliver product training to client facing staff
Influences and guides the Sales team to ensure that they are equipped to close deals that involve their products and services
Product design and modelling/testing new and existing solutions
Draft and maintain product specifications documents
Evaluate market trends associated with the particular product of product line.
Work closely with product vendors
Work closely with Engineers, Consultants and Project Managers during the initiation stage of a project to ensure its success
Provide product knowledge input assistance for compiling client proposals.
Assist with RFI/RFP responses and bids and obtain vendor product certification for the product portfolio
Recommend product enhancements and updates to identify new business opportunities
Involvement in product development life cycle in order to understand how new products or new product features will impact both the end user and the client facing areas that directly support end users
