**The Position**:
This position with growth potential requires a confident communicator with a passion for technology systems, sales and customer care. They need to possess advanced technical knowledge of telecommunications networks, SaaS systems, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. The incumbent must be motivated to learn more about the global ICT industry and continuously investigate how technology systems can improve the delivery of civic services to all citizens.

They need to be driven, with an engaging level of enthusiasm. They will need to be able to manage their own time efficiently while working independently or as part of a team.

They will need to close a mock sale as part of their interview.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts.
- Cold-call prospects and identify decision makers within targeted leads to begin sales process.
- Collaborate with team members to determine necessary strategic sales approaches.
- Maintain and expand the company’s client database and keep up-to-date sales records for existing and prospective accounts.
- Conducting market research to identify and analyse customer trends, competitor offerings and demographic data.
- Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers through prospecting and networking.
- Set up and deliver sales presentations, product/service demonstrations, and other sales actions.
- Research and prepare detailed professional RFP/RFQ/Tender responses to potential clients.
- Support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other events.
- Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert them into sales.
- Overcome objections from prospective customers.
- Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and quotations.
- Work closely with supplier and client procurement departments.
- Submit reports and updates monthly on all sales and client/supplier relationship activity.

**Job Requirements**:

- _Education and Experience_
- University degree in Marketing, Business Administration/Management, or an acceptable combination of education and experience in Sales and/or Marketing.
- 2+ years’ experience in a direct sales or similar capacity.
- _Essential Skills_
- Experience with a CRM such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
- Strong sales approach including negotiating, handling objections with clients and arriving at decisions that allow the business to move forward.
- Strong interpersonal skills and relationship management.
- Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills.

- Driver’s License.
- Knowledge of the PAIA, POPIA, MFMA, PFMA
- Strong judgement and decision-making abilities.
- Functional proficiency in 2 South African languages.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R250,000.00 - R400,000.00 per year
