International Sales Manager

Building and maintaining relationships with Key Accounts based in the allocated international regions.
- International Sales Strategy - develop a strategy for each Key Account to grow their business with us.
- Keep up to date with markets/ movements/ changes/ challenges/ opportunities and communicate back to the sales team.
- Monitor bookings per property to identify any decrease/increase in business per property and react accordingly.
- Connect and build relationships with other International and Domestic sales managers gather market intel from them and feedback to the sales team.
- Keep database up to date, relevant information per account, consultant information, contract database with correct contacts for distribution.
- Product updates, queries, opportunities, building relationships and Product Training.
- Setting up of site inspections for international agents and hosting. Follow up of site inspection resulting in increased revenue.
- Daily Reservations follow up (international agents).
- Leads management (investigation, database update and assign to agent category).
- Group enquiry management.
- Guest complaints in conjunction with Property and Domestic Sales Manager responsible for the local account involved.
- International brochure features.
- Contributing towards the establishment of an annual Sales Plan in coordination with the company’s Business Plan and providing quarterly updates.
- Sales trips to International markets you are responsible for. Preparation of these trips, flights, accommodation, transfers, car hire and appointments and post trip follow up.
- Preparing presentations to current international operators.
- Achieving Accommodation Revenue Budgets per property.
- Maintaining expenditure budget and saving costs where possible.
- Attending various meeting, sales connect, post trip feedback and other relevant meetings. For these meetings preparing feedback and actions.
- Coordinating the sales effort with other departments including marketing, reservations, and finance.
- Attending tradeshows - setting up of appointments and follow up from these meetings.
- Special project management.
**Requirements**:
- Grade 12 essential, Degree/Diploma in Sales Management or similar advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years hospitality experience; 3 years sales experience advantageous.
- Sound knowledge of MS Office Suite essential.
- Valid Code 08 driver’s license and own reliable transport.
- Sound product and market knowledge essential.
- Excellent attention to detail, excellent hygiene principles.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), practicing honest communication.
- Team player with positive attitude, enthusiasm, and emotional control.
- Excellent time management and self-discipline, interpersonal & problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, use initiative and creative flair when required.
- Committed and loyal, adaptable, and flexible.
- Must work accurately under pressure.
- People skills tolerance, patience, and care.
- Leadership skills with passion for development and skills transfer.
