**responsibilities**:

- Negotiate pricing and services delivery to obtain the best possible outcome for the Business and ensure cost are controlled
- Establish, align and manage target and budget goals whilst ensuring effective control of costs for a range of functional areas to increase cost efficiency.
- Develop a service culture which builds rewarding relationships, proposes innovations and allows others to provide exceptional client service.
- Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including end-users, SME’s, project managers and senior staff members
- Acquisition of products offered by the various vendors in the market and how they may affect or be applied to the strategy of the business by providing input into tender proposals as it pertains to the services and products rendered by vendors
- Comply with governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements
- Engage with vendors on the possible supply of products and services to the business and, in consultation with legal and compliance department, drive the drafting and completion of legal agreements with vendors, including SLA's to drive Quality Assurance of vendors during project and maintenance phases
- Drive vendor deliverables during project and development phases and ensure that all aspects of new product/services or vendor take-on are well defined and met during the project phase, and serve as co-signatory for the implementation sign-off of new products/services and vendors also serve as final escalation point for vendor non-delivery of requirements and non-conformance to service levels, both during project phase and in operational phases
- Monitor billing from vendors, ensuring such billing conforms to agreements and delivery against agreed service levels
- Analyse the vendor capabilities and products and match them to the needs of the business
- Report on service levels and project delivery of all vendors, escalating further when necessary.
- Plan and manage performance, skills development, employment equity, talent and culture of Team Leaders and teams in order to improve innovation, achieve efficiencies and increase competencies
- Manage personal and management development to increase own skills and competencies for the managerial function and future Leadership growth opportunities.
