**This position reports to the Head of Marketplace.**

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Leading and developing the compliance team of compliance specialists and contact agents.
- Development of processes and procedures to achieve compliance requirements.
- Ensure that marketplace seller accounts are vetted and data validated based on category specific risks and requirements.
- Maintain and improve the quality of the products and offers on the marketplace platform focusing on customer feedback mechanisms.
- Development of a risk management framework covering financial, legislative, regulatory and supply chain risks.
- Work with process owners to institute quality control measures across the marketplace seller value chain
- Collaboration with engineering and product teams to build robust automated compliance systems.
- Development and maintenance of a brand registry solution to improve protection of intellectual property
- Manage the contact centre environment between sellers and the the compliance function
- Relationship management with various government and regulatory bodies.

**Job Requirements**:

- Understanding of legislation and regulation across a wide range of retail categories
- Development of innovative and practical solutions to improve quality and compliance across a complex supply chain
- Innovation and foresight into the future risks in the eCommerce industry
- Education and training of sellers on compliance policies and ownership of related training material, guides and manuals
- Strong written and verbal skills, the ability to manage communication both internally with sellers and internally with stakeholders
- Managing a balance between seller compliance and seller satisfaction

**Preferred Qualifications and experience**:

- Bachelors degree in engineering, business administration, finance or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in a risk management or related field
- 3+ years experience of managing a team
- Experience in Retail and/or eCommerce
- Experience in the development and execution of risk management strategies
- Project Management experience will be beneficial
