Reporting to the **Marketplace Operations Manager**

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Solve ambiguous problems with less well-defined inputs and outputs; drive to the heart of the problem and identify root causes.
- Identify, develop and execute data analysis to uncover areas of business opportunities
- Learn and understand the broad range of Takealot data resources and develop knowledge of how, when and which data sources to use.
- Deep dive into massive data sets to answer key business questions using SQL, MS Excel and data analytics tools.
- Build new KNIME workflows, and reports/dashboards to enable emerging business use cases
- Validating the data to ensure accuracy in the output, generating descriptive statistics and extracting insights
- Prototyping of data analytics tools to support marketplace teams

**Qualifications and experience**:

- Bachelor's Degree in any quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, Engineering or Operations Research
- 2-4 years of experience working in Analytics
- Experience in working with databases and SQL in a business environment
- Prior experience in design and execution of analytical projects
- Knowledge of machine learning models such as decision trees, regression and deep learning etc. to be able to work with machine learning engineers is advantageous
