**Company Description**:
Red Bull’s Culture Marketing program is a successful pillar of our global marketing mix with a strong focus on Music and Dance. The Culture Marketing Specialist within the Culture Marketing department will grow and manage the culture marketing activity, primarily in the field of music. You will guide the development and execution of innovative marketing projects with the purpose of reaching consumers in South Africa with the Red Bull brand and growing the consumption of Red Bull Energy Drink in moments when people need energy. Through events, artists, and opinion leaders, you will build local and national brand affinity while paying into Red Bull's global and local strategies. The Culture Marketing Specialist is an excellent project manager, an expert at converting creative ideas into realistic timelines with actionable tasks that deliver tangible results. Secondly, he/she is creative with diverse tastes and a solid understanding of the South African music and dance landscape plus encompasses a network of 1:1 music industry and artist relationships and can work in a matrix structure with several stakeholders.

The Culture Marketing Specialist will work cross-departmentally with, Red Bull Media Network, Partnerships, Field Marketing, Brand Marketing, and Sales to ensure impactful, high-quality, and consistent strategic executions for the brand, our culture program, and the talent we support

**Strategic responsibilities**
- Bring to life and constantly refine the Culture Marketing Strategy in line with company and brand direction to deliver overall business goals
- Ensure effective cross-functional collaboration with other departments including Red Bull Media Network, Brand, Field, Legal, and On-Premise
- Full project management of activity in music from first ideation and development, through planning and delivery to final execution and assessment.
- Oversee all elements of music event production including the delivery of key Red Bull titled events.
- Working with the Head of Culture Marketing and Global Culture team to implement and build our music and culture marketing activity in South Africa.
- Working with the Red Bull Media Network to ensure we grow reach, brand preference, and product consideration by delivering activity that can be seen by millions of people and is attributed to Red Bull

**Network Relationships**
- Grow and maintain relationships with talent, venues, agencies and organizations and managements that we can work with
- Maintain and grow contact between Red Bull and the South African music industry, including labels, management, publishing and promoters
- Identifying relevant, current, and future talent to collaborate with Red Bull.
- Main contact between National Music Events and Culture Marketing
- Communicate the Red Bull brand and product value to artists
- Introduce artists to Red Bull’s Culture initiatives
- Deliver Music and business-relevant insights

**Planning and Ideation**
- Define Key Performance Indicators for projects and activities aligned to our South Africa marketing strategy to ensure we deliver a return on the investment we make in this area
- Deliver unique event concepts developed directly with artists for Red Bull Events
- Manage the outreach, negotiation, contracting, and advancing talent bookings for events and content production
- Consistently innovating with ideas and exploring other relevant areas where energy needs and culture combine.
- Work with the international and local artist Marketing team and third-party curation partners to bring the best Red Bull Events to consumers
- Keep a holistic view of all Red Bull music and dance activities, ensuring balance and quality for well-curated events and prioritizing the brand’s business objectives
- Align and manage project budgets
- Ensure effective workflows and project management

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience working in a music or culture marketing role, with a focus on project management, event production, and talent management
- Experience in developing and implementing marketing activity to make an impact on brand awareness, brand preference and product purchase/consumption.
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Team player, creative, excellent communicator, open-minded, ingenious, innovative and self-motivated with a can-do attitude and focused on delivering results
- Excellent understanding of the industry - from core to broader/mainstream audiences
- Strategic thinker who uses initiative and takes ownership of projects.
- Proven Project Manager, able to multi-task and prioritize tasks across multiple projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including project presentations and recaps
- An understanding of brands & how they operate within music
- A passion for live events, marketing, and media
- A strong understanding of the promoter network
- A strong understanding of the South Africa Music Landscape
- Understanding of the music busines
