Job Description
To implement the Diversity and Inclusion strategic plan, including the implementation of the strategic direction on programmes and services that promote diversity, inclusion and equity polices, practices and initiatives across FRG. To support the overall development of capability within the organisation, leveraging best practices to promote a culture of inclusion where all employees are able to contribute meaningfully
The Diversity and Inclusion Specialist will drive, execute and report on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategic plans for the organisation, including initiatives that might span the FRG. They will support the overall development of capability within the organisation, and embed best practice across the employee lifecycle. They will be a specialist thought leader, role model and change agent in fostering a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment.
Are you someone who can:
- Remain accountable to, and report on progress and achievement of DEI objectives to the Transformation, Inclusion and Equality Lead- Support and enable initiatives that empower the realisation of the DEI strategic imperatives- Collaborate with stakeholders across the HC and Business to provide thought leadership and support that embed practices across the employee value chain- Conduct research and benchmarking, indicating local and global DEI trends, and what the implications are for the organisation- Collaborate with and provide support for Employee Resources groups and the Employment Equity committee.- Maintain knowledge and ensure compliance with relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and internal compliance procedures and requirements- Compile reports that track progress and guide business to make informed decisions- Compile statutory and management reports that display the organisation’s commitment to achieving its DEI mandate- Manage key projects to build commitment and immerse desired culture and behaviours- Participate in specialist communities of practice and contribute positively to own and organisational knowledge improvement- Prepare presentations and training materials as required- Create opportunities for employees to provide feedback when work design, culture and conditions do not contribute to a diverse and inclusive workplace- Provide specialist knowledge and expertise on legislation governing diversity and inclusion and make recommendations to align organisational policies, processes, and practices- Support, promote and champion the adoption of diversity and inclusion policies, ways of work and frameworks that will assist with embedding an inclusive culture throughout the organisation- Partner with CoE specialists to socialise transformation projects across business units- Assist with the development and implementation of the Transformation strategy to drive adoption and acceptance of change management policies
Have a Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management, Social Science, or related field required
