We work together in teams, small and large, to respond to the medical needs of people affected by conflict, disasters, epidemics, and those excluded from healthcare.

Doctors Without Borders team members are on the ground, working directly, every day. We bear witness and describe what is happening, to raise awareness about the experiences of the people we assist and the situations where we work. We alert the public to emerging crises, acute emergencies, and serious challenges, such as lack of access and exclusion from healthcare and to mobilise support for MSF’s work and social mission, provoking change. Today, MSF is present in more than 70 countries, where thousands of MSF doctors, nurses, logisticians, water and sanitation experts, and other medical and non-medical professionals work together to bring essential health services to people caught in humanitarian crises. MSF South Africa is in Johannesburg with an office in Cape Town too. MSF SA is governed by the MSF Southern Africa Association, which is made up of more than 300 members from seven countries in the region.

**Main Purpose**

Supporting the MSF Ubuntu Project Lead through delegated tasks and responsibilities, managing the day-to
- day functioning of the project to launch MSF Ubuntu, overseeing related administration and logistics support related activities.

**1. Accountabilities**

1.1

Responsible for knowledge management for the project, including maintaining all documents and budget files.

For the project and its various participants.

**1.1.3 With what outcomes?**

To ensure those involved in the project have the appropriate access to information by managing records effectively.

1.2

**1.2.1 Do what**

Support Project Lead by organising meetings, taking and distributing notes and maintaining records of action points/ follow up.

**1.2.2 To what**

With colleagues involved in the project, and particularly the Project Lead.

**1.2.3 With what outcome?**

To ensure the smooth running of the

project meetings, with adequate attendance, clear notes, ensuring follow up and continued forward momentum for the project.

1.3

**1.3.1 Do what**

Assist in the production of project documents as needed, including the capitalization report upon closure of the project.

**1.3.2 To what**

Support the Project Lead to generate materials such as interviews, timelines and other documents related to the documentation and running of the project.

**1.3.3 With what outcome?**

To complete relevant project documents that ensure smooth running and accountability for the project and its ongoing information sharing for other stakeholders in the future.

**1.4.1 Do what**

Oversee logístical and administrative arrangements prior to and during workshops and project related

events and meetings, including travel arrangements, preparation of materials and liaison with venues/providers.

To ensure participants are able to attend and participate in workshops and are well taken care of during the event to enhance their participation.

**1.5.1 Do what**

Supporting the ED platform with admin support for recruitments for Ubuntu as needed, for example, following the development of JDs and grading process, as well as logístical arrangements for interviews.

With the Ubuntu EDs and Project Lead.

**1.5.3 With what outcome?**

To help the recruitment processes to happen as efficiently as possible, against a tight deadline.

**1.6.1 Do what**

Helping to ensure a coherent approach to partnerships and framework agreements through maintaining a database and aligning the agreements to established criteria.

**1.6.2 To what**

With colleagues involved in the project, and particularly the Project Lead.

**1.6.3 With what outcome?**

Ensure oversight and coherence of partnership agreements.

**1.7.1 Do what**

Liaison with any consultants and technical advisors as necessary, including follow up of invoices and payments.

**1.7.2 To what**

With the Project Lead and Ubuntu GDs.

**1.7.3 With what outcome?**

Ensuring smooth administration of consultants and technical advisors.

**1.8.1 Do what**

Deputise for the Project Lead as needed, for example chairing/facilitating meetings.

With colleagues involved in the project, and particularly the Project Lead.

To support the ongoing management and running of the project.
