MSF South Africa is in Johannesburg with an office in Cape Town too. MSF SA is governed by the MSF Southern Africa Association, which is made up of more than 300 members from seven countries in the region.

**Purpose of the Job
**The MSF SA Fundraising Team mission is**: To inspire and engage the South African community to take action to save lives around the world through financial support towards MSF projects. MSF SA’s fundraising department is responsible for raising private funding, predominantly from individuals, to support our humanitarian mission and our activities including the Southern African region.

**Reports to**:Donor Retention and Loyalty manager

**Job Overview**

Reporting to Retentions manager, working directly with whole Retention team in the fundraising department. The interim donor Retention Digital Campaign Officer will support the team with preparing, digital building, publishing, and sending out of Retention online Campaigns. They will work closely with Donor care officer and Donor engagement and Events officer in ensuring that the team provides essential personalised communication to MSF SA donors and qualified prospects. Support fundraising digital team with closing the needs loop between Retention and Digital fundraising team. Providing support on website retention needs, fundraising events and merchandise website. Working with the Retention team and communication department they will support innovative initiative to implement donor centric cultivation and stewardship program.

**MSF SA key focus areas for digital fundraising**:

- Evidence-based decision-making: using data to optimise campaigns, budgets, channels, and strategies.
- Utilisation of existing tools to support automation throughout the user experience and donor journey.
- Delivering value to subscribers and donors: knowing our values, our products, and our purpose.
- Collaborating with fundraising, and other MSF units to deliver consistent branding and visual identities, and accurate brand positioning within South Africa and the region.
- Propose, customize, and automate retention journey activities in line with donors’ interest and behavior to deepen our donors’ engagement.
- Development of digital content that is aligned to our overall branding and positioning framework.

**Key Task and Responsibilities**

The primary responsibility of the role is to implement Donor retention digital marketing and fundraising strategies.

The expected results are:

- Development and publishing of the donor retention magazine e-mamale
- Deadline management and coordination of activities across units with digital ambitions and projects (in collaboration with fundraising units).
- Providing value throughout the donor journey (measured by donor feedback mechanisms, social media post engagement, digital KPIs, etc.), by optimizing content through donor campaign feedback.
- **Retentions and loyalty campaigns and activities**
- Online subscriber management across lead generation sources (website, campaigns, offline events, etc.).
- Developing of digital loyalty magazine, including cross-unit collaboration, content aggregation (copy, articles, photos, images), creation and testing, broadcasting, and monitoring and evaluation of results.
- Providing conceptual support for digital donor loyalty materials.
- Developing social media posts (graphics and content) for loyalty-based activities and/or campaigns.
