**Purpose of Role**:
As part of fostering a culture of entrepreneurship among the country’s youth in order to reduce the high levels of unemployment; the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation (the Foundation) seeks to foster a community of responsible, high impact entrepreneurs in order to achieve an equitable South Africa flourishing with meaningful employment.

**Objectives of Role**:

- Seek and promote new partnerships for resource mobilisation, working with Executives (CEO, Head of Finance and Head of Public Affairs), as per the Foundation’s partnership and resource mobilisation needs.
- Develop and maintain deep knowledge and familiarity with current and prospective partners and relevant stakeholders, contributing to a database of key contacts to the Foundation’s base of knowledge on partnerships and resource mobilisation.
- Assist in strategic and tactical operational plans to ensure achievement of partnerships goals.
- Acts as a focal point for identification and pursuit of opportunities for the Foundation’s programmes and partnership objectives, including anticipating and responding to partner concerns and priorities, ensuring that the Foundation’s interests, perspectives, and knowledge are taken into account in partnership discussions.
- Receive and screen inquiries from potential partners and facilitate communication with appropriate Executive.
- Provide strategic and logístical support to Executives in corporate engagement and interaction with identified partners.
- Develop and implements annual partnership engagement and resource mobilisation plan.
- Contribute to the development of new partnership and resource mobilisation practices and approaches by formulating recommendations for action based on on-going monitoring, analysing current trends within designated partners and formulating recommendations for strategy approaches and message development.
- Facilitate partnership agreements that meet organisational needs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the supervisor to ensure the success of partnership efforts as needed

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration or related field
- 3-5 years’ experience in external relations, liaison and/or resource-mobilisation related activities
- Non-profit / corporate partnerships development
- Partnership, business development experience
- External stakeholder management
- Proposal development

**Competencies**:

- Communications (verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills to effectively develop and maintain stakeholder relations).
- Strong project management skills with the ability to work under firm deadlines and within a rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to prioritise and multitask to manage multiple concurrent projects.
