- Here is an opportunity to join a reputable distributor of leading global branded apparel and footwear. The National Sales Manager for a sought-after brand of sportswear would be responsible for developing and implementing the wholesale strategy, driving sales and brand positioning.

**Responsibilities**:

- To execute the wholesale growth strategy that will drive sales and maximise profitability within Wholesale.
- Responsible for achieving the agreed objectives and sales targets for the Wholesale Channel and execution of the regional sales plan.
- Keep abreast of emerging markets, market shifts with an awareness of new products and competition status, providing market and customer feedback.
- Directly manage the top five accounts of the brand.
- Build and promote strong commercial relationships with new and existing Clients by understanding their needs and objectives.
- Partner with wholesale accounts to drive effective demand management on event forecasting for in-store activities (e.g. promotions).
- Liaise with Clients regarding in-store space allocations.
- Analysis, tracking and reporting of key metrics and overall performance of the brand.
- Provide input into the assortment planning cycle to ensure the range presented drives volume growth and builds the brand at wholesale.
- To organise and prepare for range launch and sell - in of seasonal product lines.
- Monitor account performance to understand the account’s priorities, challenges and successfully resolve issues of concern in a manner that builds the account relationship and revenue.
- To provide realistic plans and forecasts based on customer performance and to ensure continuous monitoring of sell out data and cost effective orderbook conversion.
- To drive and manage a high performing Sales team with a focus on teamwork and accountability, to deliver the commercial performance of the Brand in order to grow market share and exceed the financial targets.

Education & Experience Requirements
- Essential: Matric
- Desirable: Relevant business/retail tertiary qualification
- Essential: 5+ years sales management experience within the wholesale channel in a retail environment
- Essential: Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
