- KONE South Africa falls under the umbrella of Middle East & Africa (KMEA) and is embarking upon an exciting growth phase in the South African market. KONE South Africa continues to focus on growth despite the difficult economic times and we have several strategic positions to support the Global and Local “Sustainable Winning with Customers” strategy. To complement our growth plans we have an exciting sales position in our Modernization Business (VB).
- Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, we are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Salesperson - Elevators & Escalators Modernization to be based in our Cape Town office. In this role, you will ensure proactiveness and efficiency of the VB Sales. The role supports VB Sales by taking care of lead handling, booking customer meetings along with salesperson, as well as contacting customers by phone or via online channels. The role may also support sales planning and sales funnel actions.
- Are you the one?
- Diploma or higher will be advantageous;
- Minimum 3 years’ technical experience in the elevator/escalator industry preferred;
- Minimum 3 years’ technical experience the construction and building material
- Minimum 3 years’ experience on CRM tools and MS Office
- Highly motivated, goal oriented, diligent, organized self-starter with an orientation towards a high level of customer service;
- Centralized lead handling according to the global modernization lead management process
- Screening market for potential projects
- Pro-active contacting of potential customers for early engagement
- Contacts all customer-initiated leads e.g. via webpage form, digital marketing campaign, chat or other online channel within 24 hours. Qualifies the lead before assigning to salesperson, books e.g. value discovery meetings according to FL sales policy
- Supports salesperson in value discovery meetings e.g. prepares presentation and other support material for the meeting
- Provides feedback on web lead quality to marketing
- Ability to interpret and analyze data to draw conclusions and identify patterns;
- Passion for sales, with a proven track record and a strong customer focus;
- Support sales in tendering including KTOC configuration
- Helping sales to build tailored value propositions for the customers
- Support sales in keeping sales funnel and CRM data up to date
- Support the development and execution of sales and manage offering within KONE South Africa’s modernization business.
- Support the execution of business development initiatives and improve customer-centricity, competitive position, market share and profitability;
- Work closely with the Country Operations and Global Modernization team to ensure profitable growth;
- Excellent English communication, presentation and negotiation skills. Knowledge of other African languages will be advantageous
