Front Office Receptionist/ Reservationist

The Hotel Receptionist/ Reservationist is responsible for providing a friendly, welcoming and efficient service to all hotel guests, in line with the hotel’s vision and values on customer satisfaction. The main purposes of the hotel reception area’s staff are to respond courteously to guests’ requests, play a part in the general running of the reception desk and help the Estate Manager to maintain a smooth room bookings service.
**Requirements and Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Significant work experience handling guest service responsibilities, preferably in a hotel/reception setting
- Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and all other relevant computer programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Fluent in English
- A proactive approach to dealing with issues that may arise
- Highly organized, able to multitask and prioritize and work under pressure
**Job requirements**:
- Experience in front office and reservations in guest house / hotel environment
- Great communication skills and ability to handle more than one telephonic request when required
- Proven ability to communicate professionally verbally and in writing
- Familiarity with booking systems and booking engines
- Ability to handle all type of guests and the immediate report guest complaints
- Friendly, enthusiastic and able to work under pressure.
**Skills & Experience Required**:
- A friendly and welcoming approach with high standards of dress and presentation
- Ability to remain calm during difficult situations or in a very busy environment
- The ability to work unsupervised - Professional appearance and attitude
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including a pleasant telephone manner
- Own Transport & ideally reside close-by the Estate.
