Business Development Consultant

**Introduction**
Our client, based in Claremont Cape Town, is looking for an experienced Business Development Consultant to join their team.
**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximise revenue.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Identify and engage with potential clients.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through proactive lead generation and networking.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and client needs.
- Provide valuable insights to enhance our training offerings and market positioning.
- Prepare and present customised proposals to address client needs.
- Negotiate terms and close deals in a timely manner.
- Foster strong, long-term relationships with clients through excellent communication and customer service.
- Ensure an engaging customer.
- Manage all client touch points and demonstrating value throughout the sales cycle.
- Collaborate with the internal training and delivery teams to tailor offerings to meet client requirements.
- Work closely with marketing teams to align sales efforts with promotional activities.
- Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback to the management team.
- Analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
**Desired Experience & Qualification**
- Matric
- Tertiary education will be beneficial.
- Experience in B2B sales in the Learning and Development/training sector.
- In-depth understanding of the South African Learning and Development landscape.
- Familiarity with soft skills training and leadership programs and their impact on organisational development.
- Own reliable transport (essential for client visits).
