Business Development Representative

ABOUT US:
Kurtosys provides asset and wealth managers with a data and content publication platform that enables the construction and distribution of critical sales, marketing, and client reporting materials. Founded in 2002, Kurtosys operates across four global offices. Underpinned by global ISO-27001 certification in information security management, the Kurtosys team has a deep understanding of working at scale with data, information design, industry regulations and compliance issues.
NON-NEGOTIABLES:
- Confidence: You will reach out to our prospects via digital and human channels to create brand awareness, and ultimately generate pipeline. To do this you will need to harbour a natural confidence in yourself and your abilities. On a daily basis you will need to source and contact our prospects, sharing thought leadership and other insights to generate awareness in our solution. You will attend in person conferences in places such as Boston and New York, and will network aggressively with delegates to build connections.
- Organization Skills: You will create the very first brand impression of Kurtosys, a brand we have built on professionalism and respect of our clients. As such, we will expect you to never drop a ball when it comes to client follow up and outreach.
- Agency and Work Ethic: Working in sales at Kurtosys is not a 9-5 job. You may need to adapt your personal schedule to meet with US clients late in your day, or to travel to meet clients on business trips. This level of output must come naturally to you.
- Commercial Motivation: We are looking for hunters that can expand our market, and we will compensate you for that work. You must be motivated to grow your own personal wealth and be driven by it.
- Discipline & Sense of Urgency: Demonstrate a high level of discipline in managing your own workload and time effectively. The role demands adaptability to varying schedules, including late meetings with US clients and business trips. A disciplined approach is essential to meeting sales quotas and maintaining professionalism in client interactions.
- Ethics: Another pillar of our brand is an ethical approach to business that is beyond reproach. You will embody that ethical standpoint above all else.
- Ability to thrive under pressure: Our sales team is quota driven and you will need to be comfortable with the scrutiny that comes in a commissioned sales position.
- Intelligence: Our clients are some of the smartest people in the world. While we will not expect you to demo our product or talk to industry matters, general intelligence and an ability to learn the domain is important.
- Positive Outlook: We are looking for individuals that contribute to a general positive atmosphere at our firm. The sales team sets the tone for our clients and the example for our teams, so you must be able to keep a positive outlook at all times and under all circumstances.
