1. ACCOUNTABILITY:
As the Corporate Entities CFO, you will report to and support the Copper Africa CFO. Your primary responsibility will be managing the financial operations of multiple corporate entities within the organisation, mainly Glencore Copper Africa (GCA) and Glencore DRC (GDRC). This includes overseeing financial planning, analysis, and reporting, as well as managing accounting and tax functions for each entity. The Corporate Entities CFO will provide financial leadership and support to the corporate entities' leadership teams, ensuring that financial performance is aligned with the organisation's objectives and strategies.
2. KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
You will work closely with key individuals and teams within the organisation, including:
- Copper Africa CFO
- Copper Africa Regional Leadership Team
- Copper Africa senior finance leadership team (Commercial Lead, Finance Lead, Information Systems Lead, Tax Lead, Treasury Lead)
- Copper Africa Finance and Commercial teams (Region, Asset)
- Copper Africa Operations teams (Region, Asset)
- Copper Global Service functions (Business Analysis and Planning, Financial Reporting, Information Systems, Commercial, Transaction Services)
3. QUALIFICATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Post-Graduate Degree in Commerce or Accounting
- CA(SA) certification
- Strong analytical aptitude with keen attention to detail
- Familiarity with financial policies, procedures, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices

- Proficient in financial analysis and reporting, including the ability to develop financial models and reports

Work Experience:
- Minimum 10 to 15 years of relevant post-article experience, preferably in the mining/natural resource industry
- Strong financial analysis and modeling skills, with experience developing and managing complex financial models and forecasts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and external partners
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading teams and providing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities
- Experience managing accounting and tax functions for multiple entities
- Strong knowledge of accounting and tax regulations and standards
4. GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets for each corporate entity, ensuring alignment with the organisation's overall financial objectives and strategies.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making for the corporate entities' leadership teams.
- Oversee the preparation and distribution of timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage the accounting function for each corporate entity, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Manage the tax function for each corporate entity, ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including external auditors, and other external partners.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial performance and operational efficiency and make recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure that all financial operations are conducted in compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and policies.
- Manage and develop a team of finance professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities.
