Senior Service Sales Manager is responsible for and drives Orders, Profitability and Growth in the Power and Industrial Customer Segments covering Sub Sahara Africa region (SSA)

**Essential Responsibilities**
- Accountable to meet segment Sales targets, forecasts, and paces order volume.
- Lead / formulates and executes proposal strategy and sales agreements
- Develops new opportunities and owns the sales strategy for the responsible Power and Industrial Customer Segments in SSA and in collaboration with Steam Service Team
- Leads the development of business plans for a specific product or product line, and collaboratively designs service and value selling solutions
- Makes technical presentations. Uses knowledge of GE products, solutions, and systems with understanding of the environment where the products and systems will be used
- Cross function collaboration with Commercial Operations team and Customer Service Leaders in proposal development, deal structuring, pricing, and negotiations
- Establishes and maintains winning customer relationships and ensures GE is listed as partner / supplier of choice by customers
- Utilizes Lean methodologies to improve proposal process.
- Collaborates with technical colleagues to support customer requests / problems applicable to local conditions
- Accountable to report on sales and leading indicators to drive current and future strategy aligned with customer drivers

**Qualifications/Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college/ or equivalent knowledge or experience
- Minimum of 5 additional years of experience in Sales and Proposal / Account Management
- Must have valid authorization to work full-time in South Africa.

**Desired Characteristics**
- Able to develop and lead customer relationships at a senior level
- Experience of Eskom fleet / customer base, knowledge of the installed base, lifecycle and organisational structures
- Knowledge of rotating plant equipment, upgrades, parts, services and field service
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs/ projects
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
- Established project management skills
