Overview:
IDC is the most respected global technology market research firm operating in over 110 countries worldwide. We are looking for a highly motivated experienced sales professional who has a track record of successful sales and is based in Johannesburg in a hybrid set-up.

As a
**Senior Sales Manager** at IDC, you will be responsible for driving sales, growth and building long-lasting relationships with existing clients and prospects for Sub-Saharan Africa across the IDC portfolio of services. Your reporting Manager is based in Dubai, UAE.

**Responsibilities**:

- Individually contributing to the sales revenue for Sub-Saharan Africa region via identifying and prospecting new business opportunities in the technology sector as well as keeping existing clients engaged.
- Organizing and driving face-to-face and virtual meetings with existing and potential customers to sell IDC Services to cultivate strong, long-term relationships with existing and new clients.
- Collaborating with sales managers based in different offices regionally to drive sales with international companies that are headquartered in a different country in the region.
- Customizing proposals based on customer requirements with the support of team members through existing PowerPoint templates.
- Accurately reporting the sales pipeline in the CRM and local market intel/inputs to grow the business based on trends and requirements.

Qualifications:

- A solid track record of about 5 to 10 years of experience with a focus on consultative selling and client relationship management
- Knowledge of the technology sector and/or experience with selling Events is a big plus
- Being fluent in English is a must, other languages are an advantage.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships at various organizational levels.
- Powerful negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, advanced Powerpoint skills are an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a competitive environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset to navigate complex sales scenarios.
- Being self-motivated, driven, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using CRM tools and other sales-related software, knowledge of Salesforce in particular is a plus.
