**OVERALL PURPOSE**

Join our dynamic fintech company on an exciting journey in the world of credit. Lula is a fast-growing organization with a mission to support South African SMEs. We're looking for a Senior Credit Analyst to join our Credit Underwriting team, where you'll play a pivotal role in optimizing our credit approval process. If you're a Senior Credit Analyst with a passion for fintech and a desire to drive efficiency while maintaining high standards, we'd love to hear from you.

As a Credit Team Lead at Lulalend, your role will involve:

- Collaboration and continuous improvement: Work closely with the credit management team to maintain and enhance high-quality decision-making processes, with a focus on improving overall portfolio performance.
- Training Support: Identify training gaps among analysts and work with the credit management team to address these gaps effectively.
- Multitasking: Exhibit the ability to handle various ad-hoc tasks on a daily basis while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Customer-Centric: Generate innovative ideas and solutions to meet customer needs, ensuring their satisfaction while adhering to credit metrics.
- Credit Lifecycle Expertise: Demonstrate a solid understanding of the credit lifecycle, including collection processes.
- Risk Assessment: Provide insights on credit risk and make recommendations for credit improvements, always seeking solutions.
- Process Enhancement: Continuously explore ways to streamline and expedite the approval process while maintaining strong credit quality.
- Platform Proficiency: Develop a deep understanding of our lending platform to ensure effective decision-making.
- Tech Savvy: Stay updated on the latest technology developments and technical issues affecting credit decisions.
- Ad-Hoc Projects: Be prepared to engage in other ad-hoc projects as needed to support the team's objectives.

**THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR**

To excel in the role of Credit Team Lead at Lula, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

- Matric/ grade 12 achieved
- Educational Background: A solid finance or business degree is preferable
- Relevant Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Credit Analyst or similar position, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Target Achievement: A proven track record of consistently meeting and surpassing targets, demonstrating your ability to deliver results.
- Mentorship: Previous experience in mentoring and guiding junior team members, showcasing your leadership and coaching abilities.
