Medical Aid rate based on principal member only)- To be confirmed- Advert Closing Date- 21/4/2023- Job PurposeTo support the faculty and department in pursuit of its academic and research objectives which include to: teach according to a set syllabus; undertake research and innovation; contribute to curriculum development and design; engage in work integrated learning, and service learning activities.
- Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience- A Master’s Degree in Visual Communication Design or Graphic Design
- At least two (2) years’ relevant lecturing experience in Higher Education
- Advanced working knowledge of photography for VCD, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design, After Effects and Adobe XD

**Recommendations**
- At least three (2) years’ industry experience in the field of Visual Communication Design
- Knowledge of Design for Social innovation, Design for Sustainability, Open-source software
- Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities- Participate in curriculum development
- Perform appropriate academic and administrative duties in the Department
- Participate in the Quality Assurance activities of the Department
- Participate in research
- Contribute to community initiatives by integrating community interventions into curriculum.
- Develop and maintain linkages with industry and professional bodies on co-operative education, new techniques/technologies and research projects
- Assist with marketing and recruitment activities
- Perform other functions as may be assigned by the Head of Department
