Medical Aid rate based on principal member only)- To be confirmed- Advert Closing Date- 24/2/2023- Job PurposeTo contribute to curriculum development and to teach according to a set syllabus while providing support to the faculty in pursue of achieving its academic objectives, and to contribute to academic initiatives undertaken by the faculty to enhance learning while promoting entrepreneurship learning in according to the needs of the community, and to support and expand programmes for co-operative education to achieve this objective. To support faculty research initiatives through undertaking research and contributing towards group research.

    Minimum Requirements:

Senior
Lecturer:
A Doctors Degree in a Design field (e.g Visual Communication/Fashion/Product /Jewellery Design)
At least four (4) years' relevant lecturing experience
Successful supervision of post-graduates to completion
Record of publications in peer reviewed journals

Recommendations:

At least 4 years of Industry experience

Minimum Requirements:

Lecturer:
A Master's Degree in a Design field (e.g Visual Communication/Fashion/Product/Jewellery Design)
At least two (2) years' relevant lecturing experience

Recommendations
At least 2 years of Industry experience

  • Perform appropriate academic and administrative and leadership duties in the Department

  • Develop and maintain linkages with industry and professional bodies on cooperative education, new techniques/technologies and research projects
  • Assist with marketing and recruitment activities
  • Perform other functions as may be assigned by the Head of Department
