**VACANCY: Visual Effects and Motion Graphics** **Facilitator - SAE INSTITUTE**

SAE Institute is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Visual Effects (VFX) Facilitator with extensive experience in Film, Animation, and Game production. As the Visual Effects Facilitator, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive lectures, workshops, and practical demonstrations, preparing students for successful careers in the dynamic and competitive world of visual effects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Visual Effects and Motion Graphics Fundamentals: Design and deliver lectures on the principles and techniques of visual effects and motion Graphics, covering topics such as compositing, and special effects.
- Industry-standard Software: Instruct students in using industry-standard VFX software, such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, Davinci Resolve, Nuke, or other relevant tools.
- Compositing & Integration: Teach students advanced compositing techniques and seamless integration of VFX elements with live-action footage, animation, and game environments.
- Project Supervision: Mentor and supervise students as they work on VFX projects, providing constructive feedback and assisting in problem-solving to achieve high-quality outcomes.
- Collaborative Projects: Encourage interdisciplinary collaboration between film, animation, and game production students, fostering an environment of cross-disciplinary learning and teamwork.
- Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and trends in visual effects for film, animation, and games, sharing this knowledge with students to prepare them for current industry demands.
- Networking Opportunities: Facilitate guest lectures, workshops, and industry visits, connecting students with professionals from the VFX industry to gain valuable insights and networking opportunities.
- Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the academic team to develop and update the visual effects curriculum, ensuring it aligns with industry standards and emerging technologies.
- Adhere to SAE policies and procedures.
- Other related tasks as assigned by the HOA.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum NQF Level 8 qualification (BA Honours) in relevant field
- Experience in the field of a minimum of 2 years preferred.
- Professional Experience: Significant experience in Visual Effects with a proven track record of successful projects and portfolio.
