The SSAUF intends to identify and nurture academic talent early in the academic development trajectory, and to support newly recruited academics to develop teaching expertise; develop research skills, including scientific publication skills. The new generation of academics programme (nGAP) involves the recruitment of highly capable scholars as new academics. - have a 70% pass mark for his/her Master's degree;
- show evidence of eligibility to undertake post-graduate study at doctoral level or post-doctoral programme; and
- be willing to commit to placement at the appointing university for the full 6 years of the programme.
- Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience- A Master’s degree in Visual Communication Design or Graphic Design
- Be 40 years or younger

**Recommendations**:
At least 1 year working experience either in industry or teaching at a tertiary institution.

- Perform appropriate academic and administrative duties in the department.
- Participate in curriculum development.
- Perform student assessment.
- Participate in research activities.

- Develop and maintain linkages with industry, professional bodies and local and international institutions of higher education.
- Assist with marketing and recruitment activities.
- Perform other functions as may be assigned by the Head of Department
