We are looking for an experienced (5-8 years) Internal Communications Advisor (Mainly Focused on Strategy) who has a passion for rolling out innovative IC solutions in large organisations with the communication, people and stakeholder perspectives needed to succeed in a fast-moving reality.


The ability to create visions and make them executionable and lead the practical implementation process with multiple stakeholders is paramount.

The right person is solution focused, bridges communications and project management and thrives in a very agile, informal and fun environment where you are never bored (no, really).

You'll be working with our global and multi-disciplinary team of communications strategists, creatives, copywriters and animators in a fully virtual/hybrid working environment.

As an internal communication advisor for Open CPT/JHB your key responsibility is to advise global and local clients as well as leading and managing communication projects.

What types of work will you be working on?

You would be expected to perform on the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Communication advisory in a client fronting role
  • Client stakeholder management and decision processing
  • Communication planning and overall project management
  • Content development, copywriting, preparation of presentations etc.
Who will you be working with?

You will be working closely with a diverse group of colleagues in CPH and CPT, such as:

  • Commercial managers in Open CPT and Open CPH
  • Senior designers and concept developers
  • Strategic communication advisors
  • Animators and videographers Your ability to collaborate constructively and creatively with many different people is essential and mostly via Teams.
  • You will need to be an effective communicator who proactively lets people know where you are on tasks and if you are in doubt about anything.
  • Our deadlines are often tight and reliability and adherence to deadlines is crucial for your colleagues' and your own peace of mind.
Day-to-day

On a daily basis you will be expected to be able to manage your own time effectively as well as your own work, which will include:

  • Proactively contributing to the Open Marketplace by offering your time and skills to relevant projects on a daily basis
  • Estimate, plan and coordinate you own workweek through the tools provided (The Open Marketplace and the Bulletin Board)
  • Managing relations with the CPH team
  • Staying up to date with new trends or news in the industry
  • File handling, management and improvement
