Purpose of the role

The role will require of the individual to assist and support the various governance function and roles in the governance structure in Recurring Savings & Closed Book. This will include PDD and the other primary legislation which applies to the area e.g. POPIA, Insurance Act, Long Term Insurance Regulations, PPR. What will you do?

The following outcomes will be expected to be achieved by the Compliance Administrative Assistant:
**PDD: Support Function**:
Record Keeping - mandatory task; Quality of record keeping, as well as accessibility by various stakeholders.
Liaison for gathering and distribution of information stored for legislative reasons - e.g. Hit Master List.
Keep track of ongoing due diligence actions e.g. tracking of additional controls listed for High Risk clients.
Monitor and respond to queries received via the PDD mailbox.
Development of a PDD dashboard, tracking ad hoc projects, back-jobbing, services for business units.
Assistance with the batch drop - tracking progress, support with the preliminary steps of the process.
Access to Qlikview, ORMs & SIRON to support PDDAs and to ensure tracking of activities and volumes. What will you do continued:
**Governance/ Compliance**:
Record keeping in terms of the various documentation for the relevant legislation:
POPIA (breach management, IRC, DSP)
PPR (Product Development Framework, Governance Frameworks, Data Management Framework, etc.)
FATCA/ CRS (sign-off document; Process documents)
FICA (process documents, Static and Dynamic Risk Controls, training manuals)
Upkeep and version control of the various documents (which is not an exhaustive list) listed above.
Track the various dates for submission by Recurring Savings and Closed Book and ensure preliminary preparations are done to facilitate these submissions e.g. quarterly AML/ CFT submission to the Prudential Authority; annual submissions to the Tax Authorities, etc.
Liaison with SLS compliance for gathering and submission of sampling for substantive monitoring
Liaison with Forensics for any requirements relating to STR and SAR investigations or Section 27 FICA requests
Upkeep of any TEAMS files where there is regulatory or legislative input required e.g. AML Management programme, POPIA programme
Upkeep and maintenance of the Outsourcing register for Recurring Savings and Closed Book

**Monthly reporting**:
Monthly feedback with PDDAs to provide synopsis of key findings during the month.
Monthly feedback with IGO to report on the various activities relating to record keeping and upkeep
Monthly feedback on IGO to report on the progress of the PDDAs in terms of production
Feedback on SLS compliance activities and Forensic requests Qualification, Experience and Knowledge:
Relevant Tertiary qualification (eg. Paralegal).
Certificate in Compliance Management
3 - 5 years experience in a similar role
Computer literacy (MS Office), Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
Knowledge of the Compliance monitoring process
