A well-established public entity is seeking to appoint a Committee Secretary
Reporting to the Board Secretary, the Committee Secretary will assist the Board Secretary by performing a wide range of administrative and office support activities of the Board Secretariat.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- A National Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business/Law/ Administration/CIS or equivalent qualification.
- 3 to 5 years of administrative experience with the Board of Directors and Committees of the Board.
- Previous experience as a Committee Officer operating in a high-level office.
- Exceptional secretarial and administrative skills.
- Good knowledge of corporate governance and compliance prescripts and relevant legislation, including public sector legislation.
**Key performance area**:
- Providing administrative, logístical, and office support.
- Assisting with the planning, scheduling, and organizing of Board and Committee
- meetings and taking minutes of Board Committees as appropriate.
- Ensuring effective document and information management.
- Assisting in ensuring compliance with statutory legislation and regulatory requirements as well as the King Report on Corporate Governance
