Learning & Development Specialist

Established Renewable Energy Company is searching for a dedicated L & D Specialist to fulfil the following duties and responsibilities:
WSP and ATR Submissions
- Manage the preparation and submission of the Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ART) and submission to the SETA and Department of Labour
- Obtain sign off for the Workplace Skills Plan and Workplace Skills Report from requisite senior managers
- Ensure progress and spend are tracked against spend
- Manage the tracking and reconciling of levy and grant payment rebates
Reporting and Training Metrics
- Produce timeous reports on training interventions for BBBEE Transformation, Employment Equity, HR and Board Reports
- Implement and monitor training metrics
- Consolidate information in a monthly and annual basis for reporting purposes
Training Needs Assessments
- Map out annual training plans for the company
- Conduct training needs assessments through consultations with Business Unit Managers and the respective Executives to understand and identify learning & development requirements aligned to the objectives of each Business Unit
- Conduct a skills audit/assessment for a business unit when required
Developing Training Material and Facilitation
- Develop training material for the learning & development interventions for in-house training
- Source service providers for external training interventions, including the selection of service providers and negotiating costs
- Developing Coaching and Mentoring programs for the company
- Design, develop and facilitate leadership journeys
Development Plans
- Facilitate the preparation of IDP by assessing IDPS to ensure alignment to the individuals performance
- Responsible for designing and developing career pathways for each business unit
Induction
- Develop and implement an effective induction programme for new employees
Bursaries, Internships, Learnerships and Graduate Programmes
- Manage and co-ordinate bursaries, internships, graduate programmes
- Keeps abreast of latest developments in learnerships and skills development programs, to provide recommendations that meet business needs for skills pipeline at entry level
- Makes suggestions and recommendations on suitable learnerships and skills development programs
3+ years working experience in a similar role or industry
- SDF accreditation essential
- Strong communication skills
- Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role
- Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools.
