The Claims Service Consultant (CSC) for Field Assessment claims is accountable for the claims end to end and is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all actions on claims in this processing channel. The successful incumbent will be responsible for communicating with the client/broker from beginning to end and is the one contact person for the client/broker. Furthermore, they are also responsible for the execution on the settlement decision from the field assessor by finalizing the settlement with the insured/broker after the assessor have confirmed the outcome of the merit and quantum. Effectively maintains oversight of all relevant claims tasks and manages the claims handling process to achieve timely settlement and to minimize leakage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Validation of the claim
- Ensuring the claim is assessment ready
- Adjusting estimates
- Driving the client experience
- Requesting for an assessor to be appointed
- Updating notes on the claim
- Communicating to all parties concerned
- Processing of payments
- Rejection letters (where applicable)
- Appointing service providers (where applicable) What will make you successful in this role?
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12/ Matric
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant work experience in short-term claims.
