What will you do?
Santam Claims department has a position available for a Team Manager: Claims Service Consultants based in Constantia Kloof, Weltervreden Johannesburg. The incumbent will need to have a detailed understanding of all current and new processes and initiatives to guide the team positively and to provide consistent and excellent service to our clients. What will make you successful in this role?
- The incumbent will be specifically responsible for execution and building relationships across divisions, external stakeholders and intermediaries.
- Influencing and fostering a culture of performance aimed at world class service.
- Meet the prescribed client delight satisfaction and net promoter scores.
- Build and maintain relationships with Santam’s claims suppliers and service providers.
- Responsible for the continuous development and performance of reporting Team
- Responsible for management of service levels and quality of claims.
- Improving operational efficiency of team of claims service consultants
- Submitting and analysing reports and taking corrective action
- Complaints handling and resolution
- Compiling, analysing, and submitting reports as required
- Managing staff related matters
- Signing off rejections
- Identifying training needs
- Conducting staff performance appraisals
- Implement company policy and procedure
- Any ad hoc projects Qualifications and Experience
- Matric/Grade 12
- Insurance related qualification
- Have 5 years’ experience at supervisory or management level and be able to work independently
- Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the claims environment (short term insurance)
- Sound claims management experience in the short-term insurance industry
- Sound people management experience
- Knowledge of motor and non - motor claims processes
- Insurance product and process knowledge

Advantage
- Be FAIS Compliant for Personal Lines and have passed RE1 exam
- Experience with working on Audatex, Symbility.
- Experience in working with high net worth portfolios Knowledge and Skills

- Be able to prioritise work and work under pressure
- Have the ability to communicate effectively and professionally both written and verbal (English essential)
- Possess excellent negotiation skills
- Have great attention to detail
- Be computer literate (Microsoft Office)
