**Safari Travel Sales Consultant (FIT Groups)**

Our client, an Australian-Based boutique adventure tour operating business, sells bespoke adventure safaris to southern and east Africa for small groups or FIT’s from Australia, New Zealand and German-speaking countries.

**Job Type**:Remote | Full-time

**Requirements**:
Appropriate qualifications in travel will be an advantage, although not essential.Have a very good working knowledge of ‘safari Africa’ having worked in travel as a safari sales consultant with at least 2-3 years retail sales experience.Be fluent in EnglishHave a love for adventure and wildlife, having traveled to wilderness areas in ‘safari Africa’ including both Southern and East Africa.Be able to work under pressure, reach goals and sales targets.Be an all-rounder, and able to work independently with initiative, reliability, and good organisational skills.Being very structured, organised, honest and with a focus on attention to detail are essential, as industry-leading service is the goalHave an outgoing personality and great people skills.Having good MS Office skills is essential and WordPress experience will be an advantage.

**Responsibilities**Research various destinations and means of travel regarding prices, customs, weather conditions, reviews etc.Diagnose the clients’ specifications and wishes and suggest suitable travel packages or servicesOrganize travels from beginning to end, through booking tickets and accommodation, securing rental transportation etc.Supply travelers with pertinent information and useful travel/holiday material (guides, maps, event programs etc)Collect deposits and balancesUse promotional techniques and prepare promotional materials to sell itinerary tour packagesHandle unforeseen problems and complaints and determine eligibility for money returnsAttend conferences to maintain familiarity with tourism trendsCreate and update electronic records of clientsMaintain relationships with key personsKeep financial statements and documentsReach the revenue and profit targets
