Duties/Pligte
Die posbekleër sal die volgende hulp en ondersteuning aan Visedekaan: Navorsing en Nagraadse studente verleen:
Die monitering van nagraadse studentedata, navorsingsdata en befondsingdata.- Die bywerking van vorms, en monitering van nagraadse dokumentasie en verslae- Die administrasie van die nagraadse eksamineringsproses.- Die administrasie rakende beurse.- Die administrasie van postdoktorale steun vanuit die Fakulteit.- Hulpverlening met reëlings rakende nagraadse konferensies en werkswinkels.- Hulpverlening met die reël van navorsingswerkswinkels en -geleenthede vir industrievennote.- Behulpsaam met die reëlings en administrasie van die Fakulteit se nagraadse oriënterings
- en ondersteuningsprogram.- Verantwoordelik vir skakeling met die nagraadse kantoor, veral ten opsigte van die administrasie van gesamentlike PhD-registrasies.- Verantwoordelik vir kommunikasie met die Fakulteit se nagraadse studente en die opdatering van kontakbesonderhede.- Verleen administratiewe steun aan die visedekaan ten opsigte van navorsingsaktiwiteite in die Fakulteit.- Bestuur die Visedekaan se dagboek en kommunikasie.- Verleen sekretariële ondersteuning vir en by vergaderings en skryf, versprei en opvolg van notules vir tersaaklike vergaderings.
The incumbent will provide the following assistance and support to the Vice-Dean: Research, Innovation and Postgraduate Studies:
Monitoring postgraduate student data, research data and funding data.-
- Updating forms, and monitoring postgraduate documentation and reports.-
- The administration of the postgraduate examination process.-
- The administration concerning scholarships.-
- The administration of postdoctoral support from the Faculty side.-
- Assisting with organising postgraduate conferences and workshops.-
- Assisting with organising research workshops and events for industry partners.-
- Assisting with organising and administration of the Faculty's postgraduate orientation and support programme.-
- Responsible for liaising with die postgraduate office, especially with regards to the administration of joint PhD registrations.-
- Responsible for communication with the Faculty's postgraduate students and updating contact details.-
- Providing administrative support to the Vice-Dean with regards to research activities in the Faculty.-
- Managing the Vice-Deans diary and communication.-
- Providing secretarial support for and at meetings, and writing, distributing and following up on minutes for relevant meetings.Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes- Naskoolse kwalifikasie in 'n sekretariële of administratiewe rigting, of gelykwaardig.- Minstens vyf jaar se sekretariële en/ of administratiewe ervaring.- Kennis en ervaring van finansiële, administratiewe en inligtingstelsels.- Die vermoë om toepaslik en effektief met persone op alle vlakke, binne, sowel as buite die Universiteit te skakel.- Bewese rekenaarvaardigheid in die gebruik van die Microsoft Office pakket (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook en Teams).- Voortreflike mondelinge en skriftelike kommunikasievaardighede in Engels.- Die vermoë om vertroulikheid te respekteer en te handhaaf.Post-matric qualification in a secretarial or administrative field, or equivalent.-
- At least five years' secretarial and/or administrative experience.-
- Knowledge and experience of financial, administrative and information systems.-
- The ability to liaise appropriately and effectively with persons at all levels, both inside and outside the University.-
- Proven computer skills in the use of the Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams).-
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.-

- Good time management skills and the ability to carry out tasks independently, as well as the ability to carry out multiple tasks under time pressure.-
- Previous experience or working knowledge of a natural sciences environment.-
- Previous experience of administrative work in a tertiary environment.-
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Afrikaans.
