Join our dynamic Team Africa as a Sales Development Manager and help drive growth to new heights This exciting full-time, permanent position is located in the vibrant city of Cape Town, with a direct reporting line to Sara Radu VP Africa.

**Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to driving Polarium brand recognition, business and financial growth in Region Africa
- Keep track of current market trends and propose new business ideas that can improve team Africa’s ability to meet goals and KPIs
- Research new market opportunities, attract new customers, build a sales pipeline, qualify and win new customer deals within Region Africa
- Assist in developing unique selling points, value proposition and business cases targeting African customers
- Support VP Africa in making sales projections and revenue forecasts across the Commercial and Industrial customer segment across Africa
- Identify new sales opportunities with Polarium’s offering, and target customer segments
- Support in customer engagements, with expertise in the areas of energy market and distributed energy assets with main focus on South Africa
- Work together with Polarium’s global business development function to bring new products and new offerings into the African market
- Interact with internal teams at Technology and Operations to provide insights and set requirements for products and offerings
- Any other tasks related to sales and business development that VP Africa might assign to the role

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with energy services, energy optimization and energy market related topics
- 2+ years’ experience from similar roles working on the interaction between distributed energy resources and the energy markets of today and the future
- A university degree in energy systems, engineering, or relevant field
- Previous experience from Energy storage systems and building optimization models.
- Proven track record of working with energy consultancy, business development or similar and driving an idea from initial stage to execution and delivery
