Talent Development Manager

**ROLE PURPOSE**
As the Talent Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving and executing the Learning & Development initiatives of SAPRO, which includes promoting professional development as part of SAPRO's differentiated value proposition. You will also be responsible for helping design and manage SAPRO's rewards and benefits programs.
**PRIMARY TASKS**
As the Talent Development Manager, your primary responsibilities will be the following tasks:
- Build, design, and implement personalised learning and development pathways for our SAPRO Professionals (PROs).
- Conduct audits and assessments of existing talent development programs to evaluate their effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and recommend necessary changes.
- Manage and administer the Learning Management System to ensure that it is leveraged effectively.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and deploy comprehensive learning programs that address skill gaps and enhance PRO readiness for SAPRO Client deployments.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and changes in audit firm requirements to ensure the continuous improvement and relevance of our talent development programs.
- Ensure completion of training by PROs and prepare relevant reporting to stakeholders.
- Maintain a high satisfaction rating of training delivered.
- Assist in the preparation and co-creation of structured learning and development pathways.
- Source training as per SAPRO's strategic goals.
- Manage external service providers including negotiating costs and terms with them.
- Assist in increasing engagement with curriculum and content.
- Capture and report on all Learning & Development metrics and KPIs as set out by leadership.
- Own, monitor and manage the L&D functional operating and project budget, and perform accurate budgeting and forecasting across operations and projects.
- Develop and execute comprehensive benefits and rewards strategies, policies, and programs to attract, retain and engage our Talent Community.
- Administration of our Rewards platform.
- Monitor and report on benefits and rewards RoI and specific KPIs as set out by leadership.
- Monitor and track benefits and rewards expenditure aligned to forecasted budget.
**CORE COMPETENCIES**
The following core competencies will be beneficial:
- 6+ years' working experience with at least 3 years in a learning & development role.
- Strong background in learning and talent development, preferably with experience in facilitating training programs and interventions in an Audit & Accounting environment.
- Experience in use of online digital platforms in the development and facilitation of curriculum and content.
- Experience in navigating and implementing a Learning Management System (LMS).
- Experience managing external service providers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate within a cross-functional team and align on objectives and outcomes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and attention to accuracy.
- Accustomed to working in a metrics-driven environment and successful in developing methods to achieve KPI expectations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of benefits and rewards strategies, advantageous.
**QUALIFICATION**:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Psychology, or related field.
- Preference for a Chartered Accountant of South Africa or Certified Public Accountant.
**KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)**
- Enhanced program effectiveness and relevancy, demonstrated through positive assessment findings, improved PRO satisfaction scores, and reduced skill gaps.
- Effective incorporation of client and PRO feedback into talent development programs, resulting in increased alignment with their specific requirements.
- Continuous improvement of talent development initiatives based on industry best practices, market trends, and regulatory changes.
- Positive return on investment and increased engagement rates from Talent Community.
